Our Story

A family on a mission — fueling futures one batch at a time.

It Started at Our Kitchen Table

Cookies-4-College was founded by Raymond and Stephanie with a very specific purpose — to create a structured, values-driven business that would fund our sons’ college education while teaching them firsthand what it means to build, operate, and steward something of their own. We have two sons — Kenneth and Kyle — and C4C was created for them and with them in mind.

My Mother’s Kitchen

The idea formally came together in 2025, but the inspiration reaches back decades. I learned how to cook from my mother — especially baking. The kitchen was more than a place to prepare food; it was a place of discipline, precision, pride, and creativity. Baking requires measurement, patience, and consistency. Those same principles translate directly into entrepreneurship.

The Original Side Hustle

When our boys were younger, I told them stories about my own high school days. My brother and I had what you might call an early side hustle. We baked cookies at home and sold them in the mornings outside our first-period classroom before school started. Nothing fancy. Just good cookies. By the end of the week, we had made enough money to fund all our weekend plans. It taught us supply and demand, margins, customer loyalty, and work ethic — long before we knew those were business terms.

Why Cookies?

Because cookies are accessible. They are scalable. They are nostalgic. They bring people together. They can be produced in batches, cost-controlled, branded, shipped, and improved over time. From a business standpoint, they offer manageable startup overhead with strong margin potential. From a personal standpoint, they connect generations — from my mother’s kitchen, to my brother and me in high school, to our sons Kenneth and Kyle today.

More Than a Bakery

C4C became more than a baked-goods company. It became a structured family enterprise. The mission is straightforward — build a profitable, well-run company that funds our sons’ education first. Once that goal is fully secured, expansion to scholarship support for others becomes possible. But Phase I is about responsibility — funding our family’s educational goals through disciplined entrepreneurship.

What The Boys Are Learning

C4C is an educational platform for our sons. Through this business they are learning cost of goods and pricing strategy, branding and packaging compliance, e-commerce and fulfillment logistics, financial forecasting and cash flow management, customer service and community engagement, and long-term stewardship of a growing enterprise. This is not just about cookies. It is about ownership. It is about financial literacy. It is about showing our children that wealth can be created intentionally — batch by batch.

C4C Stands for More Than Cookies

C4C stands for Cookies-4-College, but it also stands for commitment, consistency, and character. The same lessons learned from my mother in the kitchen — precision, patience, pride in your work — are the same lessons we are passing down to Kenneth and Kyle through this business. What started as a memory of selling cookies outside a high school classroom has evolved into a multi-year family strategy to fund education, build legacy, and demonstrate that disciplined entrepreneurship can create real opportunity.
